Same here. iPad does not show full screen when connected to a 4k tv.

I use an iPhone with screen mirroring. I have the same problem. Did not have the problem before the new update
as I previously mentioned, also unable to navigate now from my iPhone screen. The buttons are tiny and unusable, when I attempt to ride.

I just submitted a support request on this and then saw the 7.0.5 announcement email pointing out this featurebase bug fix list. I have been unable to get full screen on my external display (driven by an iPad Pro) since the update to 7.0.5. Previous to the update, connecting the external display after the Fulgaz app was running and in the foreground always provided full-screen display on the external. No longer the case in 7.0.5.

Ditto for me. Got full screen with iPAD m3 and hisense 43 inch 4k tv with previous version but don’t get full screen with 7.0.5.
Connection from iPad to monitor via HDMI is not working
Hi guys. It’s always been tricky to get full gas to recognise the second monitor that is displaying the iPad interface. Since the recent update I’m not able to send the ride video to my external monitor. Previously (and I can’t reproduce the pattern) I would have to be on a certain page in full guys for us to recognise the external monitor. However, after that my ride would display, and I would see my metrics or map on my iPad. I’m using a good quality HDMI cable and a 4K computer monitor, and I would love to be able to see my rides enlarged as they used to be again. Any suggestions would be appreciated. V7.0.5

I’m not trying to do this, but can you please classify this as a bug versus a feature request? This used to work.

Same problem since app update. Unable to have full screen on monitor connected to Ipad via hdmi. used to work fine. now only able to have display on monitor without fullscreen if I replicate the ipad screen.
essentially not usable when screen mirroring from an iPhone
i've mentioned this issue over and over again since you migrated away from version six. I did beta testing with this version seven, and there's been no change. I just updated the app again a few minutes ago.
if I use my iPhone(either one that is iOS 26 or one that is iOS 18) it will not display full screen on a TV with screen mirroring. It used to do this fine. In version six, under settings, you could set a box for TV out. If you checked that box. It worked just fine full screen.
unfortunately, even if I don't attempt to screen mirror or run with the TV and just use the iPhone as the dedicated screen. I can't navigate the screen. I've mentioned this over and over again. The buttons are so extremely tiny. You cannot get them to react to your touch.
Fortunately it is outdoor biking season now and I'm not using the app as much. Otherwise it is useless. I've been a member for the past several years. If this continues, I will have to look elsewhere.
External display behavior changed in latest version (iPad + HDMI)
Hello,
I am using an iPad connected to a TV via a USB‑C–to‑HDMI adapter.
In a previous version of the app, when connecting the external display, a message appeared on the TV (something like “Your ride will be shown on this screen”). During the ride, the video was displayed full‑screen on the TV, while the iPad showed only the controls, map, and other UI elements. The TV image filled the entire screen, and the setup was excellent: a large immersive view on the TV and useful controls on the iPad.
In the current version, however, the iPad screen is simply mirrored on the TV. As a result:
The TV image has black bars on the sides and is not full‑screen.
Any overlay (for example the map) appears on the TV as well, covering the ride video.
The overall experience is much less immersive and less practical.
I strongly preferred the previous external display behavior. Is it possible to restore or re‑implement a dedicated external display mode, with the ride video shown full‑screen on the TV and the UI (map, controls) kept on the iPad?
Thank you for your consideration.
Best!

Somehow this issues has become worse. Now without connection to any external display, my FulGaz app on the iPad is only occupying a partial screen. It’s as if the aspect ratio of the app is set for a phone.

On the fence to resubscribe. Would like a full-screen view as in previous versions. Additionally, previous app would allow map on iPad and full-screen on tv.
