MacOS MPH Accuracy

I have used Fulgaz for over a year and over the past 5 months have noticed a 1.5-2mph difference in the actual speed I am riding and the average mph that Fulgaz calculates. For example, on one of my recent rides my current mph was always 18.5 or above, but the average mph and distance was at 17. It is frustrating that the information is not accurate.

I see there has been a new update to macOS recently, but I am still having the same issue with the average mph not being accurate. Do you know if this is still being worked on? From your prior comment it appeared that the fix had already been found and was just waiting on the update

Even after the latest MacOS update this bug is still not fixed even though it was promised…..

Yes, that’s exactly what I’m seeing. And my 10 mile splits are way off (too slow) from reality. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Windows speed error

I’ve also had the average speed error on my last few rides. The last ride I was also putting out between 18 and 19.9 mhp much of the ride but the average would not pull up above 17.4 on a ride of over 90 minutes. I’d blamed it on my Kicker Core for the last few rides, but I was wondering if maybe something else was going on. The average speed problem occurred both in 5.3.8 and the lastest 5.3.10.

Same here. I also realized that the distance covered doesn’t match the speed either. E.g. I would ride for 10km at over 30kmh and it would take me considerably over 20 mins to cover that distance in the course.

Average speed decreasing instead of increasing

When riding The Panama Canal Entrance (which is an out and back loop), on the return leg I ride above the average speed but the average speed then starts to decrease. It happens for both Single Play and Laps, I don’t know if it’s specific to just this course. I’m using iPhone iOS 18.4.1 and FulGaz 5.3.13

This has been a bug since FG updated in october 2024 for apple/OS devices. It is a bug no matter which ride you choose and is really annoying. FG changed the calculation of avg speed which leaves a 3 km/h ± less than your actual avg speed. I have reported this multiple times without any luck so the more that reports this maybe FG will soon act on this. I love using FG but are tired of not being taken serious as a paying costumer so i will very soon contact EU services online to get a refund for a software that doesn’t deliver correct data.

Speed Scaling on Win 6.03 still not right

There is still an error between the average of the instantaneous speed you are going and the final average speed. Ride a whole ride at say 30 kph and the distance/time at the end reflects 27.5 kph.
