Videos on external drive not starting in-app (MacOS)

Ride videos downloaded to an external hard drive set as the Additional Folder are not starting. They do display correctly in the Additional Folder row in-app and can be selected to ride, but when starting the ride it is just a black screen with the elevation profile and HUD showing, no video.

NVME external drive connected via USB to iMac (2015) running Monterey
Formatted drive for OSX in APSF format with Guid partition
Speed test on the NVME drive and it could take 8K video fine

    I have found a workaround for this bug: Reselect the folder. It’s not enough to rescan the folder. This step needs to be repeated after each app launch. I’m using M4 pro Mac mini.

      Thanks so much!!! - it works! one extra step but does the trick. It also coincidetally helps take more instant screenshots as it is not trying to read the video off the same drive it is trying to write the screenshot too. This will help so much when I jump to the mac mini as they have such pathetic storage room unless your loaded! Many thanks!

    Mac OS external video folder

    I can no longer transfer files from internal to external video folder, then delete the internal file to save space. After that, the accessing a ride via external folder requires ‘download’.
