June 2025

Hey everyone,
Hope you had a great week. Let’s dive into this week’s FulGaz Friday, number 17 already!
Let’s start with the ROUVY related news you may have seen. Earlier this week we announced a price increase for ROUVY subscriptions. Just to be clear, this does not affect FulGaz. FulGaz remains a standalone platform and pricing here stays the same. ROUVY’s price change has been in the works for almost a year and was part of a broader strategy even before we had the opportunity to buy FulGaz. If you want to hear more on the thinking behind it I recommend this recent podcast episode with Petr Samek, ROUVY’s CEO.
The focus for FulGaz is where it should be right now and that’s building a more reliable product, continue on delivering premium content and figuring out efficient ways to do marketing while staying true to the boutique, community-led platform strategy we set out back in February. So let’s unpack each of those.
We’re nearly done with the big backend library upgrades that have been slowing us down for a bit. These changes were non-negotiable, some of the old components will stop working in early July. But it also lays groundwork for improved performance and better monitoring so we can resolve issues faster. I know it’s not a visible change from your perspective, but it’s a big step forward for the inner workings of FulGaz.
Now to something more visible = content! Pete’s nearly ready with the July ride drop. And big thanks to everyone who reached out based on last week’s email to contribute with their recordings. We even had the legend himself, Mike Clucas, catch up with Pete to re-film one of FulGaz’s rides in the UK. (Ok, Mike happened to be visiting family but the timing worked out perfectly!). So if you’re planning to record rides this summer check last week’s FulGaz Friday for the types of content we’re after. And if it sounds like your thing, email Klem at support@fulgaz.com for more info.
On the marketing front, we’re seeing some great testimonials coming in, please keep them coming! They’re perfect. But there was a great question from Luc in the FulGaz Riders group asking whether the outfit Mike and Pete were wearing could be purchased. Answer is not at the moment buy if there’s enough interest, we could definitely do a group order. So let’s test it! If you’d be interested in a one-off jersey/big order, please fill out this short (non-binding) pre-order interest form by end of July. Let’s set a goal of 100 people and if we hit it we’ll move forward!

That’s it for this week, thanks for reading this far and for your ongoing support. Stay fit and keep riding.
~Erik
P.S. Last week’s ride was Luz Ardiden by Rick Norton, stunning views and glorious blue skies above the clouds. This week’s cover is obviously a special one and you can look forward to a re-filmed OC-23 ride from Mike and Pete!
