June 2025

Hey everyone,
Hope you’ve had a good week. Let’s dive straight into this FulGaz Friday.
First up, a huge thanks to you, the FulGaz community. When I set the direction back in February and said FulGaz would remain a boutique, community-led platform, I meant it. And you’re proving that true through testimonials, ride contributions or simply staying subscribed.
We’ve started seeing your testimonials coming in via support@fulgaz.com and every single one is appreciated. These will form a core part of FulGaz marketing strategy going forward. If you haven’t sent one yet, no worries, it doesn’t have to be a video like Klem’s example (though video does perform well on social). A short written quote, maybe with a photo of your pain cave or a selfie, is more than enough. Here’s a great one we recently received from Dave:
“FulGaz has rescued me from the boring virtual rides I endured during those days when I couldn't get out for a real ride. I explore the world on my restored and upgraded Myata steely mounted on Jetblack trainer and rocker board that is dedicated to my Fulgaz rides. The variety of rides available from all over the world is a fantastic experience with these rides from the other FulGaz riders, including some of my local favorites.”

Content wise, we’ve got a strong 3 month buffer and things are moving nicely, big thanks to Pete and all the contributors. If you’re filming this summer, here’s what’s currently on our radar:
More varied terrain, especially interesting gravel routes
Historical sites or culturally significant rides
“Movie location” routes (e.g. “Star Wars was filmed here”)
Climbs from Simon Warren’s “100 Official Climbs” series
Grand Tour climbs, stage finishes, and race courses
Unique byways, cityscapes, landmarks, closed roads, and richly visual routes
That said, we’ll be a bit more selective moving forward. Only top quality 4K footage will be considered. That means clean lenses, good lighting, solid framing, steady camera work, realistic pacing and thoughtful start/finish points. If that sounds like something you’re up for email support@fulgaz.com and Klem will be in touch.
Product wise, not much new this week. We’re still working through the backend upgrades mentioned last Friday. The good news is that a new developer is joining the team soon and we’ll begin hiring several positions towards the end of June. Thanks again for all the feedback at feedback.fulgaz.com, we’ve logged it and plan to start delivering on it shortly. Subscriber numbers are also trending well so overall momentum looks good. More on that in the Q2 wrap up (similar to what I shared at the end of Q1).
One more thing. We’ve had a few reports of missing post ride emails. First thing to try is to reboot your FulGaz device and your WiFi router, then reupload the ride from your history tab. If that doesn’t fix it your email provider might be blocking the FIT file attachment. This is especially common with custom domains. Gmail, Hotmail, etc. generally work best.
That’s it for this week, thanks again for all the support! Stay fit and keep riding.
~Erik
P.S. Last week’s ride was Canberra Five Peaks by Martin Steffens, proper challenge with great views. Can you guess this week’s cover? Hint, it’s one of legendary Rick Norton’s rides filmed in France.
