May 2025

Hello everyone,
How’s it going? I’m writing this week’s FulGaz Friday from a coffee shop in Nové Město na Moravě, Czech Republic during a quick trip where I happened to bump into Mathieu van der Poel, Puck Pieterse and Samuel Gaze who are here for the World Cup this weekend. That was a pretty cool moment so I had to share this! But back to this week’s update.
We continued work on the June ride drop along with preparing the next mini tour. As Klem mentioned in this week’s Fulgazette, the Coastal Explorer Tour is entering its final stretch with rides closing on May 31, 2025. Still some time left to finish if you haven’t yet!
We’re also deep in preparation for the upcoming indoor cycling season in the northern hemisphere. That includes marketing strategies and expanding our team. As I mentioned last week, we’re strengthening the FulGaz development team in the coming weeks and months to support long term improvements, stability and reliability of the FulGaz app.
On that note, we are aware of few bugs and issues. Some are more complex to fix and I can’t promise immediate resolution, but we’re aiming to have them addressed over summer. If you’re facing a serious issue that prevents you from using the app, I recommend troubleshooting with the FulGaz community in the Facebook Group or reaching out to support@fulgaz.com. And of course, please keep logging everything at feedback.fulgaz.com as this is our go to place for collecting your feedback and building the product backlog.
I want to reinstate and make it crystal clear that we’re committed to FulGaz for the long term so no need to worry about its future. Yes, IRONMAN content will leave on Sep 30, 2025, but beyond that FulGaz will continue as a standalone app focused on reliability and realistic indoor ride experience. That’s what we’re building toward, that’s what we’ll do.
In parallel, we want FulGaz to grow which goes back to marketing strategy. Part of that plan is community-driven with real stories from real riders. Here’s how you can help:
Testimonials: Share what you love about FulGaz with the world. Here’s a great example video that Klem put together, have a look. We’re aiming to collect 100 such short testimonials over the next few months for social posts and marketing. If you’d like to contribute, please send it to support@fulgaz.com.
Strava Reviews: Just do your ride, take a screenshot during it and include a mini review in your Strava activity. It helps others discover FulGaz through your network. You’ll find great examples in the FulGaz Facebook Group from riders like David Chadderton, Alastair Gilchrist, David Cropp and others (thanks for doing it, I always love to read those!) If you need guidance on how to include a ride screenshot in your Strava activity check out this article in our Help Center.
That’s it for this week. Thanks again for your support, have a great weekend and as always, stay fit and keep riding.
~Erik
P.S. Great job @AJG, you nailed it. Last week’s ride was Psinthos to Afantou Beach in Rhodes, Greece, mostly a downhill cruise filmed by Jeff Stuart. Can you guess this week’s cover? It’s a beautiful scenic segment from the LEJOG ‘24 event that wrapped up a couple of months ago.
