Hello everyone,
How’s it going? Time for your FulGaz Friday update for the week.
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get the iOS related issues resolved and I’m glad to confirm we’re now in a stable place. Version 5.3.14 is now rolled out to 100% of users.
Long story short (for the more technical folk here), the issue came from moving to .NET 9. Turns out it wasn’t quite ready for prime time on all devices and the fix was to roll back to .NET 8. These kinds of things are part of the reality when working with older tech foundations that need upgrading. I know it’s not ideal, but rest assured, we don’t take it lightly. Since starting development on FulGaz in March this year we’ve gained better understanding of what we’re working with. That being said, we’ll be hiring and assigning more development power to FulGaz to keep improving.
If you’re still experiencing any issues, please continue logging them at feedback.fulgaz.com or reach out to support@fulgaz.com. We’re handling these as they come in and they’re a key part of complementing our current system monitoring. It won’t all be fixed overnight but we’re committed to incremental improvements.
On that note, we’ve also migrated our help center to feedback.fulgaz.com/help. Consider it a beta for now while the support.fulgaz.com will continue running in parallel over the next few weeks. As you know, the long term goal is to make this platform the central hub for community voting, support resources and product management so it’s part of this initiative.
Now to end on something more fun, we’re on track to match May’s ride drop volume so keep an eye out for new content landing the first Tuesday of June in the next Fulgazette!
That’s it for this week. Thanks again for your ongoing support, have a great weekend and, as always, stay fit and keep riding!
~Erik
P.S. Last week’s cover ride image was from the May’s Rides Drop and it was from Stamford, Lincolnshire. A beautiful english town featured in movies like Pride and Prejudice, Middlemarch and The Da Vinci Code. Can you guess this week’s? Hint, it should be familiar to anyone riding the Coastal Explorer Tour :)
