Power vs Difficulty

Riding a steep ascent had an odd response. The HUD reported an increase in grade and watts but it didn’t get harder to pedal for 3 or 4 pedal strokes after the beginning of the rise. That doesn’t really hurt anything, but it diminishes the sense of reality in the ride.
