FulGaz Friday #31

Happy Friday,

Hope your week’s been a smooth ride, it’s time for an update from the world of FulGaz.

Earlier this week we rolled out the latest app version, 6.0.5 is now available on all platforms! This is a followup to our October release where we introduced Gradient Preview for the first time. Based on your feedback, this update improves the colour density to show more detail on elevation changes, now following this scale:

  • <0.5%

  • 0.6 - 2.9%

  • 3 - 5.9%

  • 6 - 8.9%

  • 9 - 11.9%

  • >12%

We also introduced Gradient Preview on the Members Portal to help with ride planning too. Since it’s independent from your FulGaz app settings, you can keep it enabled on the web while staying in Neutral Mode in the app with scenery uninterrupted. Ultimately, you’re in control of your preferences!

This release also includes a set of bug fixes prioritised based on your inputs through feedback.fulgaz.com:

Also worth noting is that with this release we’ve removed support for HLS streaming. While a bit more technical, this simply means videos now videos now default to 1080p in the app. You can still adjust this in your app settings to lower or higher if you’d like. As part of this change you may also notice that videos on the Members Portal no longer autoplay. Just hit play and you’re good to go. This change helps reduce unnecessary data usage and improves loading times.

A number of new posts have popped up on feedback.fulgaz.com in the past few days. Keep them coming and don’t forget to upvote existing reports. That’s what helps us prioritise.

That’s it for this week, stay safe and keep riding!

P.S. Last week’s cover ride was Azenhas do Mar to Cascais by Shaun Woodman, a scenic route from a coastal village through to the Portuguese Riviera. Can you guess this week’s? It’s a ride from Scotland, part of our December rides drop!
