FulGaz Friday #30

Hey FulGaz Riders,

Hope you’ve had a great couple of weeks! Chances are you’ve squeezed in at least a few indoor rides recently, activity on the platform continues to climb steadily. Did you know the most active day of the week is Sunday?

Let’s get into what’s new at FulGaz. The upcoming app version has now been in the hands of testers for a week. We’re currently addressing some known issues and may squeeze in a few more fixes before the full rollout. Here’s what’s on the fix list so far:

  • Missing additional video settings on macOS,

  • App crash when riding a downloaded ride,

  • App crash when starting a section,

  • Misaligned gradient on thumbnails,

  • Username missing after login,

  • Cannot switch users on macOS,

  • Duplicate “FulGaz User” on login screen,

  • Music + Ride playback.

As promised in the last edition, the Gradient Preview is now live on the Members Portal too! You’ll see a new button when viewing any ride, “Neutral Mode” or “Colour Mode”. The selected mode then applies across all rides in the portal. It’s independent from your FulGaz App settings so you can review elevation insights on the web while planning your next session and keep neutral mode in app to enjoy the scenery without distraction if you prefer so. Also, the web version now features the improved colour density I mentioned in earlier update, so it’s a sneak peek before it gets to the app.

We’re aiming to roll out the new app version by end of the month unless we find anything that might impact your experience. So far it’s looking optimistic. This version won’t fix everything logged on feedback site of course, but rest assured we’re already preparing the scope for another version that will tackle more items. No firm timeline yet but I’ll keep you posted.

That’s it for this week, stay safe and keep riding!

~Erik

P.S. The ride from lat week was The Gap of Dunloe by Jimmy Brown, a narrow mountain pass with amazing scenery in County Kerry, Ireland. Can you guess this week’s? It’s from our November ride drop.
