September 2025

Hey everyone,
How was your week? Time for another FulGaz Friday. And as promised in the last edition, these updates will focus more on product development, system improvements and the work happening behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. Just a quick reminder that content, community tips, promotions and similar updates are now covered weekly in Fulgazette emails. And since the next edition of FulGaz Friday will be the first one in a new quarter it’ll be a quarterly special covering a broader overview.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, here’s what’s new from the past couple of weeks.
The most important update is that Beta Version 6.0 is now open for closed testing. This is the release Klem’s been mentioning in Fulgazette and we’re now ready to invite all testers on Android, Windows and iOS (iPhone/iPad). Subscribers on macOS and tvOS will need to wait a few more days. The builds for Apple, Google and Windows have all been submitted and are currently pending release. They should become available within a few hours of sending this update.
The Beta version 6.0 includes the new Color Gradient Preview setting, trainer connection stability improvements, map display fixes on Windows and Group Ride fixes for both Windows and Android.
If you’re one of the signed up testers, you can find full testing instructions and what to look out for on this link: https://forms.gle/JdteAd2v6ovMzApw6
We’ve improved monitoring behind the scenes as part of this release so we can now better track any issues you may encounter. That said, please still report anything odd via the form above, your input is key to making this a stable and reliable release for the entire FulGaz community!
Earlier this month we resolved a bug with family member renewals in the Members Portal. Until now this had to be handled manually via support but that should no longer be necessary. Let us know if you still run into anything.
We’re also finalising the rebuild of comps.fulgaz.com. The current version has been a persistent backend headache but the rewrite is progressing well and should also allow us to improve loading speed within a couple of weeks. In the meantime the Vineyards and Valleys mini tour is still running and available until the end of September so just a few more days to wrap it up if you haven’t already.
Finally a quick update on video performance. We completed the migration to Google Cloud Platform storage over a week ago and since then reports of video freezing have stopped. We’ve followed up with a few users to confirm the improvement. At this point we believe any remaining issues would likely be due to local internet connection and in those cases we recommend downloading the ride in advance, especially for 4K videos. Of course, if you do run into anything odd please report it via feedback.fulgaz.com or email us at support@fulgaz.com.
That’s it for this week. Turns out focusing only on product updates doesn’t make these much shorter after all but thanks for reading to the end! Stay safe and keep riding.
~Erik
P.S. Last week’s cover? It was Conwy Valley Circuit by David Campion starting in the historic market town of Llanrwst on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. This week’s cover is one of our most popular, ridden nearly 15,000 times. Can you guess which one it is?
