FulGaz Friday #22

Hey everyone,

How was your week? Thanks for all the feedback on FulGaz Friday and the love for these updates. The general consensus is that biweekly is ideal so I skipped last week and went straight to this format. Let’s dive into what’s new behind the scenes at FulGaz.

We’ve got the August ride drop ready so keep an eye out for next week’s FulGazette! Thanks to everyone who joined the French Tour which officially wrapped yesterday. The rides will stay open as event rides until the weekend for a bit of extra catch up time then they’ll revert to regular rides in the FulGaz collection. The French Tour collection will disappear from the app after that. Don’t worry though, we’ll give you a week to enjoy the new rides before rolling out the next mini tour. I’ll keep its name a surprise for now.

Pete also shared some great ride filming tips in this week’s FulGazette and we’re excited to see new footage from your summer rides. To make it even better, we’ll be launching our contributor rewards program with all the details at the start of the indoor season in early October. And yes, it will be applied retroactively!

On the marketing front we’re preparing the FulGaz website for upcoming paid campaigns. As you know we’ll be featuring the fantastic video testimonials, images and quotes you’ve been sending in over the past few months. There are still free FulGaz kits available for the first 100 video testimonials so there’s still time to send one in and grab a kit. Speaking of which, we’re finalising some small design tweaks and ironing out international shipping so we can open pre-orders ahead of the indoor season.

And last but not least, FulGaz product. We’ve hit a major milestone by completing the update of FulGaz Members portal backends and libraries. It was a big lift but it’s now live. A few minor issues came up with password resets and older ZWO files but those have been fixed as of yesterday. Next week we’ll migrate 93% of FulGaz videos to ROUVY’s Google Cloud CDN (the same one YouTube uses), with the remaining 7% to follow shortly after. Garmin integration is also progressing well. Finally, we’ve prepared a small Windows build to address minor bugs some of you reported. If you’d like early access, email your Microsoft Store account address to support@fulgaz.com and we’ll add you to the tester list (screenshot below shows where to find it).

That’s it from me this week. Stay safe and keep riding.

~Erik

P.S. Last week’s cover was Saint Tropez by David Linkous, a scenic ride through vineyards with climbs up the Col de Collebasse and into the hilltop town of Gassin. This week’s cover is from the July 2025 ride drop, can you guess which one?
