June 2025

FulGaz Friday #15

Hello FulGaz Riders,

Hope you’ve had a great week, let’s unpack what’s new in the world of FulGaz.

First up, the June ride drop. We released it on Tuesday… but sent the wrong link in the email. Classic. In all the excitement of getting it out we overlooked the most obvious bit. If you missed Klem’s followup message, here’s the correct link. Plenty of variety this month so have a look, sweat it out on your trainer and let us know which one is your favourite.

On the product side, we’re in the middle of an important update to the backend of FulGaz. We’re upgrading the tech stack behind the Members Portal, as some components haven’t been updated in years and now require mandatory upgrades. It’s a bit of a domino effect, updating one piece means others need to change too. It’s a slower process than we’d like but the payoff will be improved performance and better monitoring for faster issue resolution.

The downside is that a few other initiatives like automatic activity upload to Garmin and switching all media to Google’s CDN (the same one used by ROUVY and YouTube) might be pushed into Q3 2025. Not ideal but a necessary step to make FulGaz stronger for the long haul. And to be clear, we’re building FulGaz for the long haul. That’s why we’re investing in the tech and building the team because we believe in FulGaz’s future.

While the engineering work continues we’re also making progress on support and marketing. On the support side, we’re preparing to roll out a live chat feature on the FulGaz Feedback site in the coming weeks. And on the marketing front, we’ve just published five full length rides on YouTube. If someone in your circle is curious about FulGaz and wants a taste of the best indoor cycling content before starting a trial, this is a perfect place to start:

Sharing these with a personalised comment in your community would be a huge help. Even more so, if you enjoy FulGaz and want to help grow the community we’d love to hear your story about what you love most. Doesn’t need to be fancy, just a quick video from your phone or tablet, a photo of your setup or even a short quote. Send it to support@fulgaz.com. We’re collecting testimonials to feature across our social channels. Here’s an example from Klem if you’re after a bit of inspiration.

That’s it for this week. Thanks again for riding with us and being part of the journey. Stay fit and keep riding.

~Erik

P.S. Last week’s ride was Zuger Lake Sunset filmed by Bjoern Rosner. An immersive ride around Zug, Switzerland from daylight to dusk. This week’s cover? It’s from the June ride drop, can you guess it?
