Q3, 2026

Hey everyone,
Let's take a look at what's new behind the scenes at FulGaz. It's been nearly four months since my last update and there's a fair bit to get through.
I know the last several months were less than ideal for some of you with the performance and app reliability issues that shouldn't have been there in the first place. This release is aimed squarely at the issues you reported after the version 7 launch. So here's what we've worked on with the original reports linked. After a solid stretch of internal and external beta testing we're happy that version 7.0.9 is now public across iOS, macOS, Android and Windows:
You can now send your ride video full screen to a TV or monitor while your device stays the cockpit with your controls, leaderboard and chat,
Wattbike Atom V1 resistance works properly again,
If a trainer or sensor drops mid ride the app now reconnects in the background and picks resistance and ERG back up on its own,
Distance and average speed now stay accurate across a ride thanks to improvements in the video simulation,
When two devices report the same metric the app now picks one consistently and shows you which source is active,
Your ride history saves reliably even if antivirus, file sync or a backup tool briefly locks the file and older rides that were showing impossibly large distances are fixed,
FTP and other in ride settings save the way they should so tapping Save or Back no longer drops the value you just typed,
When you use Save for Later resuming no longer stitches both parts together the app resets your stats and uploads only the new portion,
You can delete a created section in ride trimming again,
Fewer crashes when you finish a ride, tap End Ride twice or finish with Ride History open,
We fixed the most common freeze when leaving a ride on Android,
On Windows, full screen and multi monitor behaviour is cleaned up so the taskbar no longer shows through, the video stays centered and switching monitor or resolution no longer crashes the app,
The leaderboard no longer gets wiped when another rider's app sends a badly formatted value,
And a bunch of other stuff fixed remotely even before this release. Huge kudos to our development team working behind the scenes!
The first thing I want to be clear about is that FulGaz keeps going. To put it in practical terms, if your annual plan is coming up renew it with confidence. We're counting on this community and we'd love you counting on us right back.
In terms of product development there aren't broad reports of tvOS reliability issues so no immediate plans for a new update on that platform. But if that isn't a fair assessment feel free to use feedback.fulgaz.com to report issues and promote them in the FulGaz Facebook Group to collect upvotes.
I also want to be open about the Zwift hardware compatibility question I raised a couple of months back. A fair number of you upvoted it and I appreciate that. Even so we've made the call to put it on hold for now. The reasoning is the same principle that drives everything else for FulGaz product development. We'd rather put that effort into the issues affecting the widest part of the community than into something that serves a smaller group. If the picture changes down the line and if we can hit the app reliability you'd rightly expect we can come back to it. For now that's where we've landed and the focus stays on the feedback that affects the biggest part of our community.
The part that never skipped a beat through any of the app troubles is the FulGaz content. Fresh rides and mini tours have kept landing on schedule the whole way through and that isn't slowing down. Regular ride drops, immersive content and new places to ride. Huge thanks to Klem and Pete and to all of our content contributors. And a shout out too to everyone in the FulGaz Facebook Group for keeping the conversation going!
And rest assured none of the items we shipped in the 7.0.9 version were prioritised out of thin air. It was all based on reported and upvoted issues here on feedback.fulgaz.com. So keep upvoting the reports that matter to you because that's how we decide what to tackle next. And if you'd like to help us catch issues before they reach everyone our beta testing pool is always open at support@fulgaz.com.
And with that, I'll be back with the next update later this year. In the meantime keep the feedback coming, stay safe and keep riding.
