August 2025

Hey everyone,
It’s a bank holiday Friday in many countries today so if you were one of the lucky ones I hope you got some good time on the bike, indoors or out. Now let’s jump into what’s new in the world of FulGaz over the past two weeks.
We released the August ride drop a couple of weeks back followed by the Vineyards and Valleys mini tour earlier this week. Behind the scenes, production is already underway on the September ride collection. A few of you raised questions about IRONMAN content in the FulGaz Facebook group so just to reconfirm, those rides will be leaving FulGaz after September 30, 2025. Instead, we’ll continue doubling down on our core focus which are bike recorded 4K rides and you can check out what kind of content we’re looking for in FulGaz Friday #16. Also, the contributor program will officially launch with the start of the indoor season and yes, it’ll apply retroactively. So don’t worry, fresh content will keep rolling in. And for triathlon specific training ROUVY remains the go-to platform.
On the marketing side, not much has changed since last time. We’re on track to open FulGaz kit orders in September and to kick off our first paid campaigns using the video testimonials, images and quotes you’ve been sending in. A few free FulGaz kits are still available for those who will submit video testimonials so it’s not too late to send yours.
On the product side, we’ve been working through several backend fixes on the FulGaz Members portal, mostly admin and security related. We also resolved a small issue with family sharing and rolled out a hotfix for email verification for new members which should now be working as expected. We’ve also been testing Bluetooth bugs affecting some trainers and are making good progress, these should be addressed in the indoor season release. Meanwhile, we’re also working on some of the most requested features from feedback.fulgaz.com for that same release.
The biggest engineering milestone these past two weeks was completing the CDN migration for FulGaz video content. There was a small hiccup with downloads during the switch but that’s been resolved and things should now run smoothly. This was a big step in improving backend stability. Lastly, we’ve got a new Windows version in early testing that addresses map loading issues, if you’d like early access just email your Microsoft Store account address to support@fulgaz.com and we’ll add you to the tester list.
That’s it from me this week. Stay safe and keep riding!
~Erik
P.S. Last week’s cover was Großglockner Downhill by Julia Sörgel and as the name suggests, it’s a relaxing descent with jaw dropping views of Austria’s highest mountains. Can you guess this week’s? It’s from the Vineyards and Valleys mini tour that launched today.
